SUMMER YOUTH AXE THROWING CAMP

This is not your average summer camp.

Give your kids something they’ll actually be excited to wake up for this summer — a hands-on, active experience where they’ll build confidence, learn real skills, meet new friends, and have an unforgettable time doing something completely different.

Urban Axe Yard’s Summer Youth Axe Throwing Camp is a structured, coach-led youth program designed to introduce students to the exciting world of axe throwing in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.

Over the course of 3 action-packed days, students will learn proper throwing fundamentals, develop coordination and focus, understand official competitive gameplay, and put their new skills to the test in a fun final-day tournament experience.

Each camp includes 12 instructional hours across 3 days.

🪓 WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN

This isn’t just throwing axes at targets — students will be introduced to real skills used in recreational and competitive axe throwing leagues.

Camp focuses on:

✔ Safety & range awareness

✔ Throwing mechanics & technique

✔ Focus, discipline & confidence

✔ Scoring systems & gameplay strategy

✔ Competitive formats & match play

✔ Sportsmanship & teamwork

Instruction is structured to keep students engaged while balancing learning, games, and active participation throughout the camp.

📋 WHAT TO EXPECT EACH DAY

DAY 1 — LEARN THE BASICS

Students begin by learning:

• Range safety

• How axes work

• Proper stance, grip, and throwing technique

The day includes guided drills, coaching, and interactive games designed to build confidence and consistency.

DAY 2 — LEARN THE GAME

Students learn:

• Official scoring systems

• Rules used in WATL & WKTL style gameplay

• Match structure and strategy

Students will participate in coached match play and structured competitive games while continuing to improve their throwing skills.

DAY 3 — SHOW WHAT YOU KNOW

The final day brings everything together.

Students will:

• Complete a coached skills check

• Participate in a fun mini tournament & marathon-style games

• Celebrate their progress with a pizza party and certificate presentation

Every camper will receive an official Urban Axe Yard “Axe-Pert” Certificate to recognize their participation and achievements.

👨‍👩‍👧 PARENT INFORMATION

• Camp runs 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM daily

• Closed-toe shoes are required

• Parents may observe from designated viewing areas

• ESA funds accepted for this structured youth sports program

Safety and supervision are prioritized throughout the entire camp experience.
